"Where Futures Begin"
The following statement can be found in the 2009-2010 Student Handbook and Code of Conduct for Talladega High School.  Due to the extraordinary amount of students that possess and use cell phones during school hours, we have decided to make this policy available via this website.  This is the policy of our Talladega City Schools Board of Education.

CELL PHONES and ELECTRONIC DEVICES
No Walkman’s, beepers, radios, CD players, cell phones, mp3 players or any other electronic devices will be in a student’s possession while riding the bus or on campus.  These devices will be confiscated by teachers and administrators and will not be returned to the parent/student until after 3:30pm on any given day.  It is the student’s responsibility to claim his/her device.  School personnel will safeguard confiscated electronic devices but will not be held pecuniary liable for confiscated items.  Students who bring electronic devices to school do so at their own risk.

Adminstration reserves the right to require parents/guardians to physically pick-up the cell phone before it is returned to the student.

Cell phone use and possession will be dealt with as a "Class 2" level offense of the Code of Conduct.

2.1Defiance of authority and/or disrespect to school board employees. (Any verbal or non-verbal refusal to comply with a reasonable direction or order of a school board employee, including refusal to identify self. Any verbal or non-verbal conduct and/or behavior directed toward a school board employee that is rude or discourteous.)
